Actually see if there is any locking hardware switch on ur drive sometimes they have one for write protection if thats not the case simply plug it in and in my computer right click and try to format if the problem persists then try restarting ur windows see if it helps other wise go www.kingston.com select ur model and trouble shoot there exactly bcoz i dont know which model u are using

you can protect ur pc permanently frm such further viruses from these pendrives first u have to search this software(Naevius_USB_Antivirus) in cnet.com ,.............instal it and then insert ur pendrive,...........and click on it,......PROTECT,.........this will protect ur pendrive permantly........after that u don't have to format ur pendrive again n again,........... also don't ever delete two files,.......(Read Me & Autorun),............... enjoy.........................
Download the Windows Mobile Device Center from vista site but make sure you pick the right version (i-e 32 bit version or 64 bit version) to check that do as follow;
Right Click -> My Computer -> Properties
Then look for "System Type" if it says "32-bit Operating System" then choose "32-bit version" else choose "64-bit version".
After installing the "Windows Mobile Device Center" connect your mobile with pc via usb cabel and it should connect.
If it doesn't connects on mobile open "ActiveSync" then choose "menu" then "options" and click the small icon of the pc and press "delete" repeat untill there is no icon left. After that reboot your mobile and connect to your pc and it should connect now.

Hello kenac, this may seem like a simple thing, but sometimes the simple things are the last ones we think of. Do you have any data on the 8GB card, if not, you can reformat it in the device and it should be happy. If the device does not have an option to format the card, you can format it in any computer that has a slot for it.
i) you said that data is remaining as it when you delete folders one by one in your pendirve, according to me your pendrive is affected with virus, try to run antivirus,spyware scan on the pendirve and see whether you can delete them.... or you can perform format on it....
ii) if you have an windows xp cd try to insrt in cd tray and follow the procedure of loading xp(like press any key........) by restrarting system when you reach stage where all your drivers are show on a blue screen(i.e c drive with its memory show, d drive with its memory shown,,,,,
and even you pen drive is shown separtely....with last letter .....and the use key D to delete the partition by highlighting the pendrive and follow instruction complete format the pen drive after that try to press C to create partition so that u can use when you go onto your sytem or desktop(imp: you have to use C key to create partition otherwise ur pendirve will not work.....)
