The external VGA port is enabled by holding the Fn key down and pressing the F4 key at the same time. There are three modes that can be toggled through:

  • Internal Display only
  • Internal Display and External Display
  • External Display only
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

I Have an Yamaha RX-V1300. Is there anything I can to allow it to pass thru 3D video signal?

No. You'll have to connect the video to your TV and then pass the audio to the receiver. 3-D pass-thru was only added to some audio receivers with HDMI outputs in about 2010. The Yamaha RX-V1300 was released at least 7 years earlier. Video monitors/TVs with 3D display were virtually unknown when this model was released. You can find the specifications for this receiver here: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/hifi-components/stereo-receivers/rx-v1300_black__u/ (click on the Specs tab).

I wish that I had better news for you.

C772tu s-video tv out no output

I assume you are going from the laptop to the TV using a s-video connection. Take the tv remote and click Select Input. Change the input source to S-Video. Reboot the laptop.

Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

Hp g60-214em screen wont come on hdmi still works when windows running but screen isnt

Try toggling the screen. Normally when you toggle the screen it has 3 stages for the display. 1. Laptop only 2. TV only 3. Both Laptop and TV

The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

Connect g60 to sharp 42" hdtv via hdmi

They both will need to have hdmi ports so that you can run a hdmi to hdmi cable between them. If not, you will need some type of adapter that connects between them.

Once you have them connected turn the tv on and press Select Input from the Remote and Select HDMI as the input (If you have vga connections there might be a PC or Computer connection for it).

Reboot the laptop and the video should be on the tv.

Connect to tv

Make sure you have selected the correct input on the TV. Normally you have to tell the tv where the video input is coming from (Computer, PC, HDMI, etc).

Make sure you have the connections right and snug on both the tv and the computer.

Reboot the computer and see if the video appears, if not there are keystrokes you can hit that toggles the display between the TV and the computer. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key on the lower left portion of your keyboard then hit the key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the display. The correct F1 thru F12 key will have LCD/CRT on it or it might show the icon of a display.

I am trying to hook up a 26 inch viZio to my hip desktop utilizing the VGA cord. It won't come up? I am on the comp screen on the tv also.

Once you plug the VGA cable from the computer to the VGA port on the tv, get the remote for the TV and go to the Select Input function so that you can select PC or Computer as the input source. Then Reboot the Computer.

Once the computer reboots it will probably display on the tv. If not, Press and Hold the FN function key on the computer then hit the correct key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the display. The correct key (F1 thru F12) will have LCD/CRT on it or it might have the icon of a display.
Once it is pressed the video should toggle each time you hit it from showing on the Computer only, TV only, both the TV and Computer.

Can't connect my HP G70-460 to my samsung tv

Have you selected PC or HDMI as your input source on the TV? Have you hit the FN Function Key on the laptop + the corresponding F1 thru F12 key that displays the image on the TV?

Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that displays on the tv. The correct F1 thru F12 key will probably have LCD/CRT on it or it might have the icon of a display.

Pc to TV, NO color

I have hooked up my laptop to the TV using the S port. I haven't seen the best results yet.

Have you checked the display driver settings? Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced.

Here you have a bit more options on tweaking the video card.
