Re: Dont know my model number?
You will find the model number on the back of the TV. It's usually a square white sticker with all the info of the set (chassis type, model number, power rating etc).
When you have all the info, go on the web and do a search and I'm fairly certain you'll find a replacement. A generic type will do all the functions of your original - unless you want an original one of course! But I would advise against cheap code type remotes that will not do everything. (:-)
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

If there is a "Menu" button on the front panel of your TV, you can enter into its menu; surf trough and come towards tuning option. If there is no such button on the front panel of your TV, you have to buy one universal remote control to work with it. Be sure that buying new remote have setup codes for Bush TV. There are very rare remote models have setup codes for Bush Tv. Look at its manual before buying it. OK.
Just buy one Philips Universal remote control model SRU5130/86. Bush is listed in its codes. Code is 0445.
You will get its catalogue alos which explains how it should be alainged with your Bush TV, and all other descriptions.OK.
Because the amount of people that have has this problem it seems to be faulty parts in the remotes. The company should be able to know what remotes had bad parts in the remotes by the "batch" and/or "lot" numbers they put on the remotes themselfs.
I am having some trouble looking up the main website for bush. Do you have the customer care contact for them? I will continue to look but I would recomened getting in contact with them. How old is the TV? there is a one year warranty on bush electronics(pretty much industry standard of at least one year)
If they try to sell you a remote it is better to just buy a universal remote. You can even get some that will install the devices off the internet with all the features(in my cases)of the Original remote.
post in comments of you need any more help. Hope I helped!
Each universal remote manufacturer has a specific list of codes that only pertains to thier remotes for each brand TV. I will need to know the make and model number of your remote to help you. The model number if not on the remote should be inside the battery compartment
I have a Conia LCD TV and the remote died, I purchsed a universal remote and without the codes even on search modes could not get it to find the t.v. I found theat DJ Electronics sell replacement Conia TV remotes online. So if you just need areplcement remote, know your TV model number and you can just replce your old remote.
