Question about HP LaserJet 3600n Printer
i am having problems printing envelopes on my hp 3600n color laserjet
the envelopes come out wrinkled as if there is too much pressure
on the paper when going through the fuser. is there any way to resolve this ? looking forward to hearing from you
The problem is likely the envelopes.
OK, I'll explain what is happening first.
If you think about it this way: The envelope has air in it, not alot but some, as it moves into the fuser "the heater" the air heats up and expands. If the envelope does not have enough "leaks" for the hot air to escape it creates a bubble in the envelope that gets squashed as it moves thru the fuser giving you the wrinkles.
Does that make sense?
Most envelopes (if you have ever looked closlely at them) have small openings in the corners that let the air escape.
Sometimes the opening are to small or not there at all.
Yes the heat can also seal the envelope. Usually not if you are using laser specific envelopes.
Now that was a long winded way of saying try new envelopes made for laser printers.
Hope this helps
