Just check if you have enough disk space in the location where you are directing the computer/Scanner to store scanned images.

Panasonic scanner kv-s3065c error code f40-30000000 hopper error ocurred in scanner

F40-30000000 Solution You have to replace under the hopper cable part number PJJEC3437Z and board part number PPB747ADF25H from www.partstore.com this will take about 2 hours to do because of the covers you have to take off.

I would like scan 30 documents using the ADF and have 30 seperate files created to be renamed later as days of the month.

If you keep the multipage switch (checkbox) ON, you will get a single file with 30 pages. If you keep it OFF, the scanner will give 30 Image/PDF files.

Even though the x is not entered in the over write existing files box it over writes but adds a numerical 1 or 2 to get over it. How does one stop it from overwriting with the same file name. Example file...

It's not overwriting. It's creating a new file with a different name, as long as the number extension is different. As long as you store files in the scanner memory you will be limited in naming protocols...
See this discussion for further help, and an explanation of how to store files anywhere you browse to. Then you simply create a new folder to store your scans in and name it whatever you choose.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

I just installed a (new out of the box) HP LaserJet 3380 All-In-One printer/fax/scanner. I have NOT set up the fax function (no telephone line available). The unit is connected to my computer with a USB...

WHen you open the scan application and get to the point just before you scan... open at the top menu "File" and request to "Save As" and give it the "Name.BMP" see if that helps..
You named the folder but you did not mention naming the file you want to save????

Its broken

Be sure you have installed all the drivers and softwared needed. Power the scanner off, then download and install the following from this website: http://panasonic.net/pcc/support/scanner/download.html
  • STI device driver
  • TWAIN driver
  • ISIS driver
  • User Utility
After all have been installed, reboot your computer. Once booted, power on your scanner and allow Windows to locate and finish installing the drivers.

Scanner Canon 5010c

This is a known problem with the scanner. Use PixEdit to scan which comes around this problem so the scanning terminates OK after the ADF goes empty.

Acrobat 8.1

Upgrade to Acobat 9.0 Pro. It seems to work in that can scan pages for a document, HOWEVER, adding/appending to already scaned pages for a document seems to crash 9.0. For example, say I scan in pages 1 - 4. I cannot then scan pages 5 -6 as part of the same document--crashes Acrobat.

I think this finally proves the problem is Acrobat 8.0 and NOT the i40 drivers.

Deleting Blank sides of paper

The KV-S3065C scanner driver has features to help with this:
  • Image enhancement - Hole Removal
  • Blank Page Detection (and removal)
Of course, the software you are using will determine how/if you have access to these features. The Hole Removal is great, but it really looks for perfect round holes. Blank Page detection is also great; it may take a little tweaking, to get the results you are looking for, but once set it save a lot of time.
Make sure you have the latest drivers: http://panasonic.co.jp/pcc/products/en/scanner/downl_e.htm

Epson 4490 Photo - multiple PDF pages

Hi. Yours probably scans as soon as you have a document in and you double-click, right? I went through this. Double click on the Epson Icon. Make sure the mode preference at upper right is changed to professional. It may start scanning and you have to wait until it's finished to scan again. When you start in professional mode, it brings up a rectangular menu--you probably didn't see this one before (I didn't before changing to professional mode). Now press scan. This gives you a "file save" choice. Chose the location you want. Under the location choice is the Choose Document type option--this is the second key--save as PDF. Now it will bring up that add a page, edit or save file. Professional mode, save as PDF.
