Got my tower up graded now printer will not when i want to print any thing of the computer

Why is it randomly starting and printing rubbish?


go to control panel on the computer , printer devices , see what is printing and highlight print tasks and delete or cancel all print tasks
check that the printer drives has not been corrupted by going to printer properties and checking for driver updates
If you have up graded the pc with a win 10 upgrade, it could be a compatible problem as to get the best out of win 10 it needs to be installed of a disk as a stand alone os and not an upgrade of an existing os

Will not print, can.t find printer


If you are not able to find your printer on your computer, then the simplest thing (but takes time) you can do is uninstall the printer using the companion disk that came along with the printer and install it again. This will ensure that all the drivers are well up to date and then you will be able to print again.
However there are another reasons for not showing printers in the Printers and Faxes folder in Control Panel. 1. Check your wireless settings on your computer. 2. Check the printer by connecting it using USB cable directly to your computer.
If it connects again using the cable, you may need to run wireless configuration once again using the same companion disk.

I can't use printer from computer,all it's saying on the instructions I got was, plug power in and ubs cord to printer,nothing hooked into my tower, go figure???? so how do I do it,it's a new computer,just...


Plug the USB cord from the printer to an available USB connector on your tower, insert printer disk into computer drive, then go through Printer Setup and you should be able to print.

Old hp printer won't print anything with new hp desktop computer


Your PC has VISTA loaded (according to the HP web specs)

This printer has no specific driver for VISTA but basic functionality is supported by VISTA without the need to load a seperate driver.

The printer connects via a USB cable to the PC and should be detected automatically by VISTA whe the printer is turned on.

The original CD would have drivers for an earlier vesrion of windows (98 or XP) so you should uninstall any programs that were installed offthe disk.

Hi,
The issue you have posted does require little more information in order to isolate the issue to fix it. Information like have you installed the printer driver and connected the printer cable to the system in your system for the printer to communicate, are you getting any error messages when you are trying to scan or print, weather you have used the printer earlier and it was working fine till the recent past or it was just being used for sending faxes only and printing and scanning was not tried earlier, However let me provide you few steps that you cold try to fix the issue.
  1. Click on start point Control Panel and click on it.
  2. In the control panel window click on the icon labeled “System”
  3. Click on the Hardware option at the top and then click on Device manager.
  4. On the device manage page check if you have any devices under “Other Devices option with a YELLOW ! mark, if so right click on the device and left click on uninstall.
  5. Close all the windows and then insert the Driver disk for the Printer in the CD/DVD Disk Drive to install the drivers for the printer.
Note: At this point of Disconnect the printer cable if it is connected to the system tower, and do not connect the cable until the installation wizard prompts you to do so.

  1. During the installation the wizard will prompt you to connect the printer USB cable to the system tower, so go ahead and connect it.

Hi,

The issue you have posted does require some more information to isolate the issue and fix it, information like was the printer working fine earlier and was it installed on the same computer that you are installing it now, did you up-grade your systems operating system, what is the operating system that is installed on your computer and so on, however let me give you few steps that could fix the issue with the best of my expertise’s according to the error message that you have posted. I would appreciate if you could perform them to fix the issue.
  1. Disconnect the printer for the system tower.
  2. Click on start point to control panel and click on it.
  3. Click on Add/Remove software icon.
  4. Locate the printer All In software in the list of soft wares’ displayed and click on it and then click on remove.
Alternately you can also uninstall the printer using the Printer All in disk installation wizard.
  1. Close the Add/Remove window and in then locate the System icon in the control panel and click on it.
  2. Select the hardware option at the top
  3. Click on device manage.
  4. Locate other the option devices if present and check if there is a yellow ! mark. Right click on the other devices with the yellow ! mark and left click on uninstall.
  5. Close all the windows and then insert the Printer All in one disk in the Disk drive (CD/DVD ROM).
  6. Once the installation wizard is up click on install and follows the onscreen instructions.

Note: Please do not connect your printer to the system tower until the installation wizard prompts you to do so.

11. After the installation is finished restart the computer.
