Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Anyone would be hard-pressed to give you a definitive answer to that question but if, as it very well could be, the main power supply has failed, you may be able to buy and replace this yourself and I would guesstimate the cost at under $150 US for a new board.
Disturbing part is the chance that the supply was damaged by another problem downstream from it. Most modern supplies can protect themselves from and overload so I think the supply was at fault rather than being a victim.

If it was hit hard enough it damaged the display panel, therefore would not be feasible to replace. They cost as much as a new set.

Hi, My Olevia 42 inch, model342-B11, has a problem with its picture. At first I had vertical lines running down the screen, then it turned into small squares. What do you think is wrong with it?

Parts are hard or impossible to find for this brand but it sounds like the "main" board which processes all signal in and out of the display.

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Most likely what happened is one of the capacitors went bad. When a capacitors goes bad it produces a popping sound. This could be an easy and cheap fix if you find the bad capacitor or capacitors. The bad capacitor will have a bulging top most likely on the power board but could be anywhere.

Olevia 242T 42" LCD HDTV - Suddenly No Picture, Nothing Works

I heard they were restructuring their company or something.
There has been a change ownership from Syntax-Brillian to Olevia International Group.
Details of Olevia brand
Unfortunately for all of us (we have 747i) service seems very poor and the failure mode you describe doesn't give me any clues despite 40+ years of service experience.
Ours is still 100% but I now suspect our trouble will come.
