I own kingston 2gb pendrive.recently it got infected by some deadly virus..this virus turned all the filenames into some wierd characters. now the problem is i cant format the drive and cant access the...

Try deleting the virus and the files this way...just be sure not to delete the operating files to operate the pendrive:

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Messed up songs

Whatever you do, don't delete the whole folder - it will permanently mess up your GoGear. Here's what I would do: run a Repair in the Philips Device Manager OR update the firmware on the player if it won't let you do the repair - the reason that I am suggesting this is that it will delete all of the music files off your GoGear so that you can start over from scratch, as a side effect. Once everything is deleted, change the Rip format in Windows Media Player to Mp3 - it will not give you special options like read-only, etc. Then, re-rip the CD's and load the mp3 files onto the GoGear.

Good luck!

Won't delete songs

EEK i know what this is , the memory cells or NAND/Flash storage on the mp3 is dying as you cannot delete it , you can try to add an sd/mmc/xd card if your mp3 supports to add and delete songs as it wont be affected it but it wont cure the fact that you cant delete it .

Alternatively you can update the mp3 player firmware by downloading it from the web or you can try to return it under warrently (number in support manual)

As a last resort you can connect it to the pc right click it and press format this will erase all data /everything on your mp3.

Loading protected songs onto MP3 player

What I would recommend you to do is to delete the songs that are not playing for the device then transfer them back...Your SanDisk Sansa does not allow you to delete files from within the player.
Instead I recommend that you follow the steps below to delete the music
You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync panel in your windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps

P.S.Please rate accordingly...

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.
