Question about Flotec TC2104 0-100PSI Pressure Gauge

1 Answer

When the pressure hits 100 psi it does not shut off automatically

I am using a 6 gallon tank to run dragsters down a 24 foot track. When we first used it, the air compressor would automatically shut off and on to keep the pressure at 100 psi. Now it just continues to run until I manually shut it off. What do I need to do to fix this problem? I am thinking pressure value.

Replace the pressure valve. It is not sensing the pressure properly and that is why you are having this problem. Why it failed is beyond anyone

My regulator on my compressor keeps leaking from the top. When I turn on compressor it just keeps filling up in the regulator maxes out at 200psi and blows the safety valve. model D55146 type 2

Hello. W/D here.
Check the rating tag on the safety valve that is letting the pressure off of the tank. I'm pretty sure that it is less than the 200 psi that you are seeing.
What I believe is that the contacts in the pressure switch are either set too high, or the switch is bad. Check the rating for your switch, it's kick in (on) and kick out (off) pressures. If you have these values, you can set the switch yourself. Pump the pressure up to where you want it to kick out (off) and stop the compressor at that pressure by pulling the plug. Remove the contacts cover and adjust the spring until the contacts part, setting the contacts to the actual pressure. Drain the air down to below the kick in point. Replace the cap over the contacts, and turn the compressor back on. It should kick off at the pressure that you dialed in.
If the contacts will not set, or if there is too much carbon on the contacts, or if you note any burned wires or melted terminals, replace the switch. Minor carbon on the points can be removed with an emery board or fine sandpaper, and this should be regarded as a temporary fix.
Best regards, --W/D--

I need to calculate the number of 55 gallon drums that can be placed in a containment pool that measures 8 ft in diameter, and 2 ft. in height. The containment vessel has to hold 110% of the material in...

Calculate the volume of one 55 gallon drum by using this formula
22/7 X Radius squared X hight of cylinder = Volume of large vessel.
22/7 X 48" (Squared) X 24" = Volume in cu in

100.57 cu ft in large pool = 752.315 US gals.
110% of 50 gals = 60.50 gals
752.315 divided by 60.5 = 12.43 drums
Draw to scale the large poola nd then draw to scale the smaller drums and see if 13 drums fit.

Tank pressure 120 regulated pressure 200. how can

If your pressure cut-off switch is faulty, it will keep running. Could be very dangerous. MSC has switches with different ranges. I had this problem once with an 80 gal. compressor. It was running and I cautiously walked over and shut it off. At this point it had 200psi built up. Yes, I was scared but a new regulator fixed it. The old contacts were rusty and wouldn't release. Hope this helps.

What size generator is required to run 2800 watt induction moter on a pressure washer

Hi,

2800W is 2800W. What will affect your question is wether you run it at 120V or 240V. I would recommend using 240V if you have it. 2800W at 120V will pull just about 24 amps (which is a 30A circuit as circuit breakers trip at 80% of thier rating) but if you use 240V you pull around 12 amps which will cost you half the amount in energy costs.

If you have any questions please let me know.
