Nova cd112 this is a simple fix the machine has a electronic switch to add water to the machine it then has another switch to say the machine has water iin it , this switch is the one that is not working this is the one that turns on the element and heat the water .it costs around a tenner to replace u can find it as it is connected to the element via a wire conection .this a a common problem of over enginearing as this switch is not needed and is not on older machine .ie this switch can only come on when the machine has water in it in other words only after the switch to put water in the machine has been on.can this go on i hope u know what i mean lol. now u can replace this yourself or get an engineer it should take an engineer no more than 10/15 mins to fix better still have him bypass this switch and u will never haver the problem again as this switch is prone to going fixthis and the machine should last years no problem as its not a bad machine not quite a bosch but better than a zanussi or indicit etc hope this helps and may i just say that i tried everything including replacing the element ,stat and cpu non of which worked before realizing it was this .i must also say before u try this. Switch on your machine on put it on a universal cycle as u hear the water going in the machine open the door and add hot water as hot as u can close the door and the machine should do a full cycle including emptying and reheating the water this proves its not the cpu ,element or stat note the machine will not do the cycle without the hot water going in at the start if it does the cycle then its 100 % this switch hope this helps and sorry for the lond explantion bye

Sounds like the main pipe is clogged - or the food filter. Check that the filter is completely clear.

The main pipe that takes all the water away to your drain = at the bac k of the machine. Its better however to just look inside where the main waste filter is - if there is excess water down there, scoop some out until its level, also check the salt dispenser.

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher.
The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher.
Check if motor spins. In case it spins, the problem is with the pump ,in case it doesn't spin it could be a motor problem or a motor and pump problem.

First of all: filter plate clean? Clean any locked hole.
1) Can you remove the upper spray-arm and verify if holes inside are locked by any residus. Clean the holes , and check if pure water come out when you fill the center hole with some water.
2) Switch on the dishwasher , coldest wash cycle dish-washer empty and without the upper spraying arm. Once you hear water streaming in, open the door and look if a little water fountain comes out from the center hole where the upper spraying arm was fixed. If not, this canalisation is blocked and should be cleaned. Try to continue the wash cycle, often the water pressure will clean itself this canal. Check also lower spray arm: it should be rotating a while and ejecting water thru its holes. If not, verify this canalisation as well.

3) Put the spraying arm again on its place, verify also the sealing else water pressure is going down and spraying will not turn and spray water.

4) Again, continu a wash cycle, open the door and look; upper arm should be rotating and some rays trown out.

Hopefully, this helps .

If not, pump pressure may be low; have a repair verify, can be that only brushes in the motor must be replaced, can be the pump worn out and to be replaced at all.

Frigidaire Model FDB780RCB0 I am getting water in the machine but it seems the arms are not turning what can I do to get that fixed?

The pump in the dishwasher is supposed to provide enough water pressure to turn the spray arms and make them rotate. The pump is faulty and not giving enough pressure or the arms are stuck.
Try spinning the arms, if they rotate smoothly, you will need to replace the pump.

Both spray arms of my DU943PWKQ0 do not turn or spray. The motor is moving and the it drains without problem. During the wash and rinse cycle I can hear the sound of water, however it doesn't clean at...

Try rotating the spray arms by hand. It should rotate freely. If possible clean the arm rotating place by removing them.

Arms rotate by by pump pressure only. finally check the water pump also.

IT STARTS TO FILL BUT THEN STOPS, DOES NOT DO WASH CYCLE dwd4310w dishwasher

You have to check the water flow from the pum end. the spray arm rotates under water pressure only. Try cleaning the hose if possible from front. Clean the rotating arm also. jet holes

I have a GE profile dishwasher that is about 5 years old. The problem I am having with it is that it just doesnt clean the dishes. The soap sometimes doesnt alway disolve. the water is the correct temp....

Start the cycle, then after it fills with water, open the door. Move the wash arms so they all point directly to the front and put a mark on the ends with a magic marker. Close the door and let it run 10 seconds or so, and re-open the door. If any of the wash arms did not move, clean out the holes in the wash arms (seeds, candy wrappers, twist ties, bones, broken glass, etc.). You may also need to clean out the screen at the pump inlet, but usually the spray arm holes are the problem.

Water not going through spray arms

1.does motor run? no. replace motor. 2.open door and leave the bottom rack inside dw.spin the spray arm underneath the bottom rack by hand. it should spin freely without binding. if it doesnt spin freely take out the bottom rack and try again. if it does spin freely then your bottom rack is laying on your sprayarm preventing it from rotating. 3.you could also not be getting enough water into your dw.
