I am an emachine specialist. These computer suffer with problem motherboards which often blow the power supply unit. Replacing the power supply on it's own does not solve the problem as the motherboard processor socket is the cause of the problem, the fault in turn blows the power supply. The same applies to all Advent and Medion computers sold via the high street stores.

Your video card has failed.
If it is on-board - the motherboard needs replacing, or you can add on a AGP or PCI video card and use that instead.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

Power on but no display

Does it say no signal? Does is beep correctly during POST(power on self test)? Usually the remedy for this is checking your vga data cable if its connected properly and if it is, check the pins, are they all looking fine? If not change the cable and try again. If the cable is attached to your screen permanently, try a different screen.

Cpu on but no video no beeps

There is likely a hardware-error.
1) Did you connect all powerconnectors correctly to the motherboard ?
2) Same question for attached internal hardware ?
3) Memory modules inserted correctly ?

If all OK, it's seems you PC is correctly booting and running succesfully an operting system like Windows.
Now, the error might occur something between monitor and PC.

4) Did you recently change the screensettings under Windows ?
If your monitor can run max. 1024x768-mode, but you accidentally fiddled with Windows-settings, to set it into 1200x900-mode, your monitor will turn black, not showing anything of Windows. In panic you might have turned of your computer. To solve this, it's best to push the F5-key when booting in Windows safe-mode. Here you can restore the older screen-setting.

5) No damage at pins of connectors between monitor and PC ?
6) Cable between monitor and PC connected correctly ?

If all OK :
7) Does monitor power on ?
Yes. Shortly but turns off within seconds (for TFT-monitors)
- Something at inverter-level is damaged. This is inside the monitor.
No. monitorLED is not even turning on
- Monitor has an internal defect

My monitor samsung 2330 keeps saying check digital signal cable and I've put the cords all in the same way I had them before and now this screen keeps popping up

If you already check your connections and still no answer from what you're doing, do these steps:
  1. check for any beep codes
  2. remove and reinsert your RAM to another memory slot, if it works you have a problem with your RAM, you'll need to buy a new RAM that is compatible with your motherboard
  3. if you here a 1 short beep, that means it already start the booting sequence of your computer but you don't see any boot screen and still the out of range error. You have a defective graphic card.
  4. Is your monitor is a LCD type? if your answer is yes that means your monitor is not compatible with your old graphic card, buy a new graphic card that is compatible with your motherboard and to your LCD monitor. Because old graphic cards or onboard vga cannot hold much more pixels than newer ones that's why you have an out of range error

Installed the board, scren displays message no signal and stays black. no peeps or beeps. usb has power so do drives and signal leds

Check the cable between your monitor and computer. If this is a new install and you have added a graphics card, you will need to boot up once using the on-board VGA. Doing so will allow you to turn off the on-board VGA in the BIOS. Then you can shut down and move the monitor cable to the new graphics card and reboot.

Emachine t3958/d845gvsr mobo

try resetting your bios.. reset it to system defaults.. check all connections properly.. pc to monitor..etc etc..
if you mean no error code by "no bios beeps" then it's okay..
if you mean even the regular single beep after post is not heard than chances are high that your video card has some problem.
