Question about Microsoft Broadband Networking MN-500 Wireless Base Station (L21-00001) Router

MN-500 - Need to reset daily

I've had a MN-500 for about 4 years. I have never had a problem. With-in the last 2 months - only two of us can use it at a time. But, if unplug everything - plug it back in, we all can access it again. It's a pain in the arse to keep doing this. Anyone have a solution. My son plays "World of Warcraft"...but he has been playing this for a while. It never seemed to be the problem. I doubt it is that, but wanted to throw that out there. Does anyone have any answers to why only 2 of us can be on at one time - until I shut everything down, then we all have connection again? Thank you so much for replying to me - I work from home so this is quite an annoyance....Thank you!

It sounds as if the firmware needs upgrading on your router. To do this you will have to access the configuration settings on your route. I would suggest that you "google" MN-500& look for support platform on the site.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I cannot install the software on windows 7 for ce-250 i get an installation support file error access is denied. i cant get far enough to do the patch. what do i do now?

I've posted instructions that will help solve your problem for any machine, but especially for Singers. I've been using my CE250 for the last 4 months using the second method and my friend has successfully used the first for the past 9 months. Just follow the directions carefully and you should be fine.

Follow this link to the full instructions:

I had not used the chair in 2 months, when i charged the battery in my electric wheelchair, the lights near the top of the joy stick shows its fully charge, but when i unplug the cord, it go's...

Yep It sure does Why didn't you charge the chair for 2 months? Charge at least once a week if you don't use it daily. Always break in the new batteries by using the chair daily for 10-15 days charging everynite then charge once a week if it sits for that long without use. Always put up fully charged. Do this and your batteries should last 3 -4 years Charge overnite if you use daily and never charge more than 24 hours Good Luck

Router stopped working altogether

You can try doing a master reset. (must refer to owners manual on how to) or replace the entire unit. Most likely the unit has failed.

Thanks, Frank

Wireless Bridge

do this to change from routing mode to bridging mode, which allows your MN-500 to act as a wireless access point. Important: If you follow the procedures I've listed below instead of the procedures documented in the MN-500 User Guide, you will not lose the ability to administer the MN-500. This will give you the ability to change the SSID, channel, and encryption key if needed without performing a factory reset of the base station and starting from scratch. 1. While logged into the BSMT, click the Local Area Network link and access the Settings page. 2. Change the IP address from the default (192.168.2.1) to another IP in the same range and set the DHCP server to disabled using the list. Click Apply. In the example shown above, I've changed the IP to 192.168.2.252. Wait for all lights to turn green on the base station. 3. Open the BSMT again using the new IP. Use your Web browser and navigate to http://192.168.2.252 and enter your password if prompted. You will not be able to open the BSMT from the Microsoft Broadband Networking Utility (BNU). 4. Click Security, and then click Network Mode. 5. Click Bridging mode, and then click Apply. 6. Disconnect your computer from the MN-500 but do not disconnect the power from the MN-500 because it may take several minutes for the hardware to restart in access point (bridging) mode.
