Question about General Electric Washing Machine Chrome Timer Knob W/Clip

Timer is wonky, pump didn't work, now the spin is kaput

We have a mod; WISR309D TBWW Ser#ZH107243G. we are out here in west africa, and the timer is wrecked, I pulled apart the timer, the contacts were dirty, so I cleaned them, but I must have something out of time, as either the pump won't kick in to get rid of water, or the spin and agetate doesn't work. there is a little motor thing on the back to turn the rotary dial, but am not sure how to time that, also had trouble getting the contacts to work right, but I think that I solved that. Am suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

power supply is good, I think that I am already in the control board, and that's were the contact points are, how do you time the rotary dial to the motor that turns the rotary dial?

My model GLET1041AS2 Frigidaire Laundry Center fills/agitates, but does not pump or spin. The timer would make a slight buzzing/timer sound when it hits the spin cycle, but nothing else.

The circuit board has a Cycle generator and sequencer that accepts commands when you manually do a setting. When the sequence enters the spin phase a block occurs and discontinues further action. It is not the timer, but the command center on the circuit board. Because the board has many functions, it is like a set of Christmas Tree lights in series, and when one bulb fails, so goes the set. You will no doubt need a new command board for that model.

I can't find the wiring diagram for my whirlpool refridgerator.... MOD.#ET19RKXFN01 SER.#EG3222178. Can you please help. I need to change the defrost timer.....Thanks

I will try to locate a wiring diagram for your model ET19RKXFN01 but to change the defrost timer you will only need to know its location. Here is a link to the repair parts=> ET19RKXFN01_Repair_Parts_List
Go to page 5 of the repair parts list and you will see item number 4 Then on page 6 of the parts list you will see the timer part number beside the item 4. That is your defrost timer part number 2193084 Defrost Timer

Your refrigerator is an older model and may have the wiring digram in a packet behind the kick plate in the front near floor. Changing the defrost timer will not require use of a wiring diagram. Simply remove the old timer and replace the new defrost timer by plugging it into the wiring harness. The defrost timer can be found behind the control panel inside the fresh food compartment where the controls are located above the top shelf. If you have questions just let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

My Sears washer Mod. # 110.28822791 SN CJ1904857 will not advance to the spin cycle. I replaced timer part # 3950200. It works intermittently. You have to move it to the spin cycle and then it will...

If you replaced the timer with a new one make sure its the right one with its part number listed on it if its the wrong one it wont work right. sounds like a power problem or clock problem with the timer might need a qualified service technician come look at it to rule the problem out hope this helps.

My dryer does not tuen off on its own anymore. how can I fix it?

More than likely the timer has gone out. It has a small electric(not replaceable) motor in the timer that advances the time. If the appliance works when you manually advance it to different cycles
thats probably the problem.

Water goes in and pumps out basically only hums no timer movement

I would take apart the pump and I'll bet you there is a booby pin or something jamming it, I had the same problem and fixed it by myself.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II spins only once in a while :-)

hi there,

sounds like the timer switch. the switch is mechanical, so it's quite easily replacable.

also, the overfilling is a result of the pressure switch no engaging. this switch senses the water level and once it's up to capacity, it will shut off the water supply into the tub. check the switch and switch wire to make sure it's working correct. this switch is also mechanical and easy to fix.

let me know if i can be of more help.

Washer fills/agitates and stops prior to draining

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to with the model number off your washer.
