My Magic Chef built-in Dishwahwer turns on but does not cycle. It get stuck on the start postion of the rotary knob and does not moove. Also the red light for the on - off switch intermittantly comes on and off while on. Thanks
Water will come into the dishwaher if the Rotary timer is set in that position..
Normal cycle (when working) is:
1. Set Rotary position to Short Wash (beginning of cycle) - Dishwasher turns on and runs for about 30 seconds..no water in yet.
2. Then Rotary Postion clicks clocwise and Dishwasher fills with water
3. Dishwasher starts is full cycle as the rotary switch continues to slowly click clockwise, "filling" "washing" "draining",,,etc..til done.
What the dishwasher is doing is whereever you position the rotary switch, it stays in that postion, performs only that cycle and never moves off that postion....Water will come into the dishwaher if the Rotary timer is set in that position..
