Question about Sharp AR-153E Copier

Sharp AR153E - 2 red warning signals on the panel

I am not sure what the signals mean: The first is a figure of a man with an arm raised, and the second is a circle surrounded by 8 dots.

This means it is time for maintenance and a developer change . it comes on at a specified number of copies. You can ignore it, your copy quality will eventually deteriorate but it wont hurt the machine .

How to take out the thin line comimg from my sharp ar153 copier machine

Try cleaning the slit glass. Thin strip of glass under the feeder.

clean it really well with some rubbing alcohol the line should go away.

test by making a copy off of the glass platen.

if you have a line when copying from the big glass you need some maintenance, probably a new drum/blade combo.

The machine is showing service man and developer

That means that the drum & developer needs to be replaced. It depends on you? You will also need to reset the counters. Also, you can turn those warnings off in service mode.

"little red man"

The "Little Red Man" stands for that the copier has reached it's set "P.M." counter and it is time to have the copier to have a general cleaning done. It is just a counter that comes up 10k, 20k, 60k, 80k or it is set not to count at all. It should not affect the copier it self. It has to be reset and set to "0" for no P.M. count.
