Question about Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2008: Windows

I removed Norton from my computer last December because of the intolerable length of time it used. Today I received my Bank statement which showed that I have been charged $40.16 Annual Renewal. I did not renew so this is automatic with no opportunity to cancel. How do I get my money back? David Jolley

Contact Symantec by phone. To do this you need to create a support ticket before contacting Symantec. During the creation of the ticket you can choose if you want to call Symantec, or if they will call you. To create the ticket, go here:

Then click the link with the text, "Click here to call us." Afterward you can set up your support ticket. Just make sure that in the field labeled, "We can help you with one of the following:" you select, "Norton product subscriptions."

Once you get on the line with a representative you will need to provide proof of purchase (order form), probably your home phone number, and your mailing address. Afterward the representative will continue down the road of awarding you the refund.

Most likekly, this is a problem with the Norton installation itself, and Norton needs to be removed and reinstalled using NRE (the Norton Removal Tool) which gets every trace of Norton products off of your machine. There is a detailed explanation and process at the link below and it is direct from the Symantec (Norton) support pages. The NRE tool is also known as NRnR (Remove and Replace) and I've used it many times (I'm an IT admin at a school) and it normally works very well. If for some reason this link doesn't work for you, go to Google and type in "Norton error 8506,421" and press ENTER. Good luck! Error 8506 421 appears on my Norton product

I updated my profile, i.e. credit card information, and then renewed my account however I keep receiving emails stating my coverage will end in 8 days. I agreed to have my AMX billed for $179.00 for 2...

Hi there , best idea is too contact Norton Support , as they are the only one's that can say if there is a problem , and can correct it ... also make sure that you had sufficient funds in your account for the payment too of gone through, also it will be good to have a bank statement showing the transaction was paid at said date...Then you should not have to worry Norton will correct the error

I would get a copy of your statement and show it to the mechanic and ask him who took the money out then ....... these crook mechanics give us good mechanics bad names.

I had purchased Norton 360 online for my lapstop late December 2007 after I did a restore on my system. For the last few months my computer has been running real slow and freezing and locking on me. Today...

firstly, edit your question above and remove your product key, as this could cause you trouble down the road more and people see it, copy it down and then stasrt using copies of this program for free using your product key. Secondly, Norton support will be able send you the file again so that you can complete the process.

Statements in QuickBooks

If you do not want your statements to reflect any payments, go to the top of your tool bar, click on Edit, go down to "Preferences", find the "Sales and Customers", go to "Company Preferences", and at the bottom you have the option to "Automaticly apply Payments", make sure that is not checked.
