Driver needed Hi,my laptolp me please?p got a virus from the net and i can't fix it that is why i decided to reformated it because i don't have much important files to save. My laptop sony vaio vgn-cr11 has a vista OS and i dont have any recovery disk for that now i downgraded it to XP but the problem now i don't have the drivers for that model running in XP i've been searching the net for almost a day to find where i can get those things but unfortunately i can't get can somebody help me to solve this thing?

I believe you have yet installed the printer driver.
- Please install the printer driver using the drivers disc that came with the printer. - if you don't have the drivers disc, you can download it from the printer manufacturer's web site. - I assume your printer is Epson Stylus S20, am I correct? If it is, you can download the driver from Epson's website.

reformatting a drive is a big undertaking, formating the drive will erase everything, including viruses, before you format you need to make sure you have all the discs including the windows disc, driver discs, and a factory restore disc, also you make check the documentation on your system because alot of the gaetway, dell, emachines systems have restore partitions installed on the drive. Also youll need alot of coffee and alot of time, most importantly aside from the windows disc youll need a driver disc for any ethernet or wireless card you have installed. without this you will not have access to the internet most likely and donloading updated drivers is very helpful. This is a time consuming proccess unless there is a restore partition on the harddrive, the documentation will tell you how toaccess it if it exists, if not a restore disc will be nice.

You still need to have Operating System disk to do this becuase reformating your CPU will delete all of this but it will also remove viruses. there is a way to remove the viruses provided by Anti virus products in the net but it needs to be upgraded time and again to completely remove them plus you need to check your registry for entries or problems; disk utilities or programs to repair them are also available ther really is no quick fix for this type of stuff if you want to do this your self but it can be done. you need some knowledge about DOS where you can with great patience and skill remove some of the viruses then leave other viruses to antivirus programs.
