I am a frequent user of the alarm and I want to awake with a quiet beep and not the Nokia tune, which is a standard setting. During night time the PDA is off (less use of battery). Is it possible to change this standard Nokia-tune?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I'm selling these Zenith Z1233BA Clock Radios
on ebay. I have sold about 10 without any problems, but someone just ask if I know where the get the instructions. I could not find the manual online.
Here are some of the basic.
To set the time set the lock button on the bottom to off, press the clock button, the clock will flash then use the set buttons on top to change the time. Use the <> to change the time, when the time is set press and hold the enter button until you hear a beep. You have to cycle through all the minutes to get to the next hour. Do the same to set the zone. And to set the Date select the CAL button and do the same as setting the time. Put it back on lock when the time, date and zone are set.
To set the Alarm press the Alarm Set button then use the set buttons on top change the Alarm time. Use the <> to change the Alarm time, when the Alarm time is set press and hold enter until you hear a beep. Press the Alarm On/Off button to select radio or buzzer for the alarm or alarm off. To set the PRESETS tune the radio to the station you want to be a PRESET, then press and hold a PRESET button until you hear a beep.
All smoke alarms beep if the battery is too low. Getting a used battery isn't good enough for smoke alarms. Even getting a new battery from a dollar store (a cheap no name brand import store) will not do... it has to be the newest and it has to be alkaline. once you put it in... press the button for 10 seconds... first you will hear it's own alarm then you will hear the others attached to it in the whole system chime in (if you have that type) the alarm will now sit quietly.
A beep tone will activate when selecting the HWS buzzer alarm. The alarm beep will become shoter and shoter every 15 seconds for one minute followed by one minute silence before repeating the cycle. The HWS alarm will sound for one hour until turning off by pressing the Power button. Press the Power button whilst the alarm is activated will cancel the alarm for 24 hours. 1. The HWS buzzer alarm can be set either radio is on or off. 2. Press and release the HWS buzzer alarm button , the symbol will flash. 3. During the symbol flashes, long pressing the button for more than 2 seconds followed by a beep and display Hour digit will flash. 4. Rotate Tuning Control to select required alarm hour, then press time set button again. The minute digit will then flash. 5. Rotate Tuning Control to select required alarm minute, the press time set button again to complete HWS buzzer alarm setting. 6. Press and hold down buzzer alarm button for more than 2 seconds followed by a beep to switch on or off the HWS buzzer alarm. Display will appear when buzzer alarm has been set.
To set alarm mode :- press Alarm 1 or 2 briefly to swtich between choices of Alarm On-Beep / DAB / FM / Off, keep pressing this alarm button until you get to the mode you want then stop pressing and leave to settle. To set time: Press and HOLD Alarm 1 or 2 to change time. Minutes will flash first, use dial to change numbers, when you've got to the number you want press jog/select to change hour, use dial to change hour number. If you just leave it alone once you've reached the hour you want it will set where you left it, but...
If you want to specify preset channel/volume/beep tone etc keep pressing jog/preset after setting hour and use dial to set your preferences.
There could possibly be a couple of reasons why your computer is beeping. It may be that the depth limit has been set too high and you are breaking the limit and setting the alarm off. This limit is user changeable. You could be setting off the assent alarm by coming up too quick. Not sure if that helps, just problems I have encountered in the past.
Changing the clock time format
You can choose to have the display show the time in 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour (Military)
Press and hold Alarm Time (Menu) until -SETUP MENU- is displayed.
2. Press Tune > three times until TIME- is displayed.
3. Press Time - or Time + to select 12 HOUR or 24 HOUR.
4. Press Alarm Time (Menu) to exit the setup menu or wait 10 seconds for the setup menu
to end automatically.
When you set the alarm, turn the volume button on the front counter-clockwise (volume down) until it clicks. Darth will then wake you with one of three extremely LOUD, over-modulated soundbites or the electronic "beep-beep-beep" alarm . You can select the different soundbites/alarm with the "SELE-AL" button on the back. The only problem is, you can't tell which one you've selected until the alarm goes off. Cheap design.
