No sound in my compaq presario C700 laptop
There is no sound while switching on and off the laptop. On playing any Music aand video file, the error icon appears saying: there is aproblem with sound device or it may not be properly installed.

- i have installed the windows xp sp-2 an d i have installed the hewlett-packard sound driver but still sound id not coming out of my laptop speakers my laptop is C773tu but all the drivers of c700 laptop are working properly,i have concerned with one of my friend he said that there r no diff. in drivers of c700 and c773tu so plz gv the solution how can i get the sound from my inbuilt speakers,and when i connect my laptop with projector it don't show the plug and play window and projector also don't work on it,kindly give the solution of it.- shoryasoamYes

u can go to inrenet explorer and
click tools , windows updates , wait for collecting for updates , select customize ,
and in same window u get on list in left saide. optional hardware device found
select on that u get two driver for audio/modem/ drivers . select and install
and u remove the windows related update files which is selected to download
