Question about CTX Ez Book 700 Notebook

Where is the battery on the motherboard? CTX EZBook 700

Some one told me to disconnect the battery on the mother board for afew minutes to deactivate the password to get to the setup (F2) a fix my computer. CTX EZBook 700 series Now I have it all apart down to the motherboard and can't idenify the battery. What am I looking for, shape, size, etc.

Thanx in advance!

PS Hurry it's all over the place, so many screws!:)

Regal, the battery is locate on FLOPPY/HDD-side at the rear (LCD) side of motherboard matter of fact battery can be visibly seen however not remove/fiddled with from inside the HDD tray opening. I place a thin plastic shim between battery & battery retainer in order to break battery's contact ...motherboard side was impossible

as it turns out it worked ...I'm up and running

If at boot??? could be memory or lack thereof ...could be OS improperly installed. In fact it could be a plethora of software hardware problems

When i turn on the power green light on left comes on -no other lights display screen will not come on

you might be having a no POST problem -remove all other device that are connected to this computer -remove battery and power cable -after a minute try to power on w/o battery just the power curd - see it it will work -if still not working turn off notebook try to use an external monitor or LCD plug that to the vga port at the side power on see what will happen -if you are still having the same problem you might need to bring computer to a local tech and have the Motherboard looked at, it might need repair or replacement.

With external power removed, disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Carefully return product to it's original box and place into nearest trash container. Consider yourself fortunate that you didn't loose more than $179.00.......What a piece of ****!!

CTX EZbook 700 is missing...

there is a battery on the motherboard this must be removed for at least 1 minute this will clear he bios password.replace the battery and password will be gone.

Need help upgrading my labtop

You need the windows 98 se installation cd and product key.

Microsoft no longer supports or makes these so your going to have to find one used, from ebay for example:

Blank Screen

MS-DOS edit command help edit myfile.txt <press enter>. This would bring up a blank edit screen, as long as the file is saved upon exit this will create the file myfile.txt.
