Acer Aspire 5735, the C drive is full but the D drive is empty, can you change the partition so that more is given to the C drive?

Windows - You can't it is the active partition and contains the OS.

Use 3rd party software like Partition Magic. Be sure to backup first. This was not a safe thing to try.

Hello Sir,

You can create a Partition in your hard drive without affecting your OS. Just follow the process I've sent.

1.) Go to Start Menu and Type in search area Create and Format Hard Disk Partition.

2.)Open the Create and Format Hard Disk Partition.

3.)Now you can Select the C: and can Partition it with another new drive.

Thank You

I want to change the operating system the disk for recovery is larger than local disk c which is the operating system?

Drive C: is almost always the drive that hosts the OS.

just to be sure if you have Windows as your current OS see in which drive is the Windows folder located. That's the partition that hosts your Os

Hi i take dell laptop with 320 gb hard disk & 4 gb ram with os installed only one partition actually i want 3 partitions. It is possible give solution

you cannot split the partition while its in use.
THE FOLLOWING WILL ERASE THE ENTIRE DRIVE.

put the OS dvd into the machine
power on
hit F12 key when the dell logo appears
select the cd/dvd drive.
the machine will now boot from the OS disk
follow the instructions until it asks where to install windows.
At this point you can split the disk into as many partitions as you like providing you choose a partition of at least 30Gb for the OS to be installed on.

The recovery G: drive on your computer is an OEM partition. You don't have to do anything on it because it is helpfull. The back up for your OS is on that drive and also the OKR files or the recovery files.

If you delete that drive it void the OKR.

You don't ! Get the model of your hard drive and go to the manafacturers Web Site. There you will probably find a sofware utility that will format and partition the disc for you. No other Computer ? Use a Friends !
