While driving my car today bas esp light came on and steering wheel pulls slightly to the left. Steering wheel shimmies also. Had alignment and brake flush 4 days ago. The shop is closed today so just trying to get suggestions as to why, and where I should start if it isn't something they did wrong.
SOURCE: steering shimmy when brakes applied
It sounds like either warped rotors or grease/oil on the pads. Jack up the front and pull the wheels off. Turn the rotors by hand to see if the rotors turn freely, then drag, then turn freely. If there is no grease or oil on the rotor surfaces, you need to either turn or replace the rotors. The job is a royal pain in the ****, so you may want to take it to a reputable shop.
SOURCE: whining from front left seems to be the tire, steering wheel slightly vibrates when turning left
If you swerve the car back and forth and the sound dissapeers when swerving to the left( reducing the weight on front left tire) this could indicate a wheel bearing problem
SOURCE: steering angle sensor and ESP/BAS
