replace the three caps on the deflection board CP150, CP120 and CP114 you can get the RCA repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit has the parts and the cd with repair instructions.
If you turn the tv off for about 1020 seconds, turn it back on and see if you have a clear picture, if not it sound like a power supply problem in the tv. but if that did not solve the problem, the
picture board on your tv is now malfunctioning or as gone bad, it means the
board of your tv has developed fault and will need to be replace.
advice you replace the picture board on the screen of your tv to
solve the problem.
your red crt bulb is starting to go bad.
somtimes you can tap lightly on the neck of
the red and the prob. usually short term will go away.
if not tube replacement is necessary.
this is sometime a pricey repair.
but worth it!
I have the 51 inch of this model and I have found that usually it give you some indication before going completely out. Like color problems, sound, or just video disappearing. Most of the time it will be the convergence amps going bad, but you should have seen some color distortion. If not then it could be the vertical output. TDA8177 needs replacing and check caps around and diode, If not this then look for open fuse in HV line to crt's. Also power supply fuse like 1900, 2004, 1300, etc.
