Let go through a few troubleshooting steps. Unplug from you computer and plug into an mp3 player or anything that uses the same size plug. *If they work
Then it is in your computer. Plug some headphones in the output (normally the green plug) and test that. Go to control panel>sounds and audio devices and make sure your volume is at least half way up and not muted. If that is ok, check your hardware. right click on "My computer" the select properties, hardware tab then device manager button and see if there is a yellow exclamation on your sound device. If there is reinstall the driver.

*If they didn't work on another device (like a walkman) then it is probabbly your speakers.
unplug and wait for a few minutes then replug. Ensure any lights are on, on the unit. If they don't come on then the unit is probabbly been damaged by a power surge or lightning. They aren't user fixable usually. Return or replace.

How do i get my ink carchrage out

Perhaps the Lexmark Z2300 User's Guide will be able to help you on that. Just click on this link: Scroll to Maintaining the Printer, Page 28-29, for the instructions on how to remove or replace the cartridges. In some cases, the ink cartridge carrier won't position itself in the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On your "...need CD...", perhaps you could inquire from here. Should downloading the necessary driver(s) for a Lexmark Z2300 be sufficient, have you tried here and click on the 'Downloads' tab.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Message stating to install new black cartridge - already have

did it work when you put the old cartridge back in? I would take the cartridge back and get it replaced, it sounds like it's defective. I have had that problem on my machine for lexmark about every one in three don't work, take it back to where you bought it with your reciept they should give you a replacement for free and tell them what happened and make sure they give you one from a different bacth number. If you still have problems Post here and I will help you test print heads and other problems it might be. Thanks for using fix-ya And rate if this was helpful

My cd-rw isnt working

Hi there.
Sounds like the files could be corrupt, try playing them through the computer first, if they play out try using Nero to do the burns.
Post back if you have no luck and we can look at other possibilities.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Logitech Z2300 rustling sound on volume knob movement

I would definately not open up the wired remote. As for the rustling sound, I had the same problem with my set (only with a hissing sound instead of rustling). Make sure the output on your computer is all the way up, as well as the volume on whatever media player you are using. That eliminated the sound for me, but it might be a different problem alltogether.
