Remove the belt from the motor and pull it out of the tensioner. Put it back through the tensiner from the other side of the bracket. (If you put it in right to left, this time, put it in left to right ). The belt will seem very tight to try to get onto the motor but, it's supposed to.
I took the drive belt off of the motor to adjust the motor, it was making noise. I think I fixed the problem with the motor, but now I cannot put the drive belt back properly. It is very loose and I don't know how to route it, I guess. Thank you for any help.
fixer1950 you are a genius!!! The dryer is working but it's still making a metal on metal sound occasionally. I believe I need a new motor? Thanks again, xswampman
