White screen while booting - Dell Inspiron 2200

Everywhere I look I see mention of white screens on laptops, but not the same as my case. The screen is white on my Inspiron 2200 every time I boot it up, but about 1 minute after I turn it on the screen is normal. If I restart it will restart in white screen, then after Windows comes up, it will be normal again. The laptop functions perfectly fine in Windows once the screen displays. Anyone else see this?
