Question about HP Deskjet F2180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I'm trying to print from my mac ibook running on osx 10.3.9. when I bought the printer I had trouble scanning so had to download drivers from HP. For some reason I'm unable to access the printer queue (PrinterProxy), so can't view or cancel jobs or clear the queue. Before printing the message "The application PrinterProxy unexpectedly quit" comes up, asking me if I want to submit a report to apple. The only way to continue printing is to click on cancel...aaaaaaargh! Help! PLEASE!!!!
is not compatible with Mac OS 10.5

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My first recommendation is to carry a printer self test. Use the Menu on the front panel to do this ok. If both printers succeed in self test then the problem is reduced. Uninstall the previous drivers for these printers. Connect the printer data cable(USB) to the pc and check for communication. that is, whether or not it is detected by the pc's OS. This should be done one after the other on different ports. If the two printers are attached to same pc, I recommend you use a combination of USB and Parallel printer cables. If communication is successful then detach both cables from the pc. Install the drivers for the USB printer without attaching it to the pc. Then attach when prompted. That way, the printer is guaranteed. For the printer on the parallel port, connect it and install the drivers while attached to the pc. If nothing happens still, you should consider leaving only a printer on the pc. Good luck

SOURCE: When installing the 6310 all
There are two ways for install the Scanner
using only "the driver" and using "HP Photosmart Studio Includes
Support for Mac OS X v10.3, v10.4 and v10.5 (Leopard)" using the driver
not include IRIS OCR software only the driver to scan and thats why say
"An OCR error ocurred, couldn't create file". Installing the HP
Photosmart Studio fix the problem.
