Can a Toshiba A-45 S-150 run a 160GB PATA drive--without partitioning?

The hard drive has to have a single partition for the operating system to be installed on the hard disk.
It cannot operate without at least one partition on the hard drive.

you will most likely have to go into the recovery console to fix the problem or even re-install.

The other two solutions are to either boot up in safe mode to correct the problem by trying to revert back to a saved well working time, or take out pci cards and reboot always taking out another pci card until you find the problem.

if nothing works, re-install or fix in recovery console. <<< or >>>

BEST Solution
at re-install, choose repair windows.
