How much voltage should go to the fill solenoid?

Kenmore dishwasher model 665-16769000. How much voltage should go to the fill solenoid?

Thanks. Was getting 5 volts at the fill solenoid during fill cycle and threw me off. Moved the overflow float up and down a few times and all fixed and getting 120v now to fill solenoid (water inlet valve). Somehow 5 volts were getting through and I thought that's what it was supposed to get and almost bought a new fill valve. Wiring diagram was a help.

SOURCE: dishwasher not filling

Yes you should have 120v to the valve so the problem is elsewhere. Possibly the control isn't sending the proper voltage but you will need a tech to verify as this board is about $130

Do you hear a 'click' when it is supposed to start filling the machine--if not, then the water inlet solenoid has likely failed. Make sure the water is turned on under the sink and there are no kinks in the supply hose. Hope this helps!

Recently ran well low - no dishwasher not filling

Yes there is a screen in the water valve of the dishwasher. you'll have to shut off to the water line coming in to the dishwasher and disconnect the water line. then take off the water valve to get to the screen. you could have a stopped up screen or a bad solenoid switch on the valve.if you know how to use an ohm meter you can check the solenoid for continuity.

it is better to just replace the valve than to try to take the water valve apart and clean it.

you will want to check the float switch first before you do any of the above.

My Kenmore dishwasher is not getting water! I

John? did you pay your water bill this month? LOL
check your temp controll switch that feeds to water solenoids to make sure there is a voltage/ signal going to them also your load limit switch under the tub ? if it is stuck open it wont fill the tub! that could be a good possiblity

Hotwater runs continuously

It sounds like a little piece of trash (precipitated solids in the water line) have gotten in the water valve, or, the fill switch has failed.

If you know how to use a voltmeter, then see if there is voltage always applied to the water solenoid. If not, the water solenoid valve is bad. If it does have voltage all the time (when it's not supposed to be filling) then it's the fill switch.

Motor has gone out..just like mine...Make sure u have voltage going to the motor, (disconnect the plug from the motor) and use an electric meter to make sure you have voltage going to the motor. If so the motor has either gone out or has been blocked by something! If no noise except clicking then motor has gone out. Looking at about $150 for motor.
