Looking for parts

The internal wiring to the connection module in my GE 31GT720 31" TV got twisted off. If anyone has a dead version of this TV and want to part it out, let me know and I will explain what I need and how to remove it.

This image is of a part (in two pieces) that I took out of my GE 31" TV (model 31GT720) . The left part is where the Ant/Cable connects to the back of the TV. The right part is like a capped single prong plug that connects to module on the TV circuit board. Please let me know If you have or can get this piece for me.

How do i hook up my dvd player

Get the appropriate cord for connecting the DVD player to the TV.

The chord should be three joined together. Its called an AV wire. It has yellow, white and red color at the mouth of the pin.

The yellow is for Video (Visual) while the red and white are for audio (sound).

Since the DVD is to show on the TV, the wire has to be connected as follows:

  1. Insert the yellow wire in to the yellow part of the video out of the DVD.
  2. Insert the white and red wire in to the white and red part respectively to the audio out of the DVD.
  3. Connect the other part of the yellow wire to the input of the TV
  4. Connect the white and red wire to input like wise.
  5. Put on the TV and select to AV from the TV remote and you will see a display of your DVD at the background of the TV.
At this stage you can start watching.

Take care.

Dead IR reciever

You don't need manuals to repair this beast.

Note all your cabling as the back plugs are many.

Remove the 8 screws in back.

Remove 4 screws using an angled phillips or angled phillips rachet that holds the left front module board in.

Carefully lift out the inter module connecting plugs. These are delicate so pry on one side with a small screwdriver then the other until it is free.

Lift out the blue LED from its holder as it is reused. Desolder the receiver. There is 5 points. Solder new part in. Reverse steps.

TV does not turn on

I'm looking for the same info... my CT-32sx12f is completely dead too. I was wondering if the IC regulator or the flyback is bad. Fuse is fine. Anyone have any wisdom or experience on these sets they can interject? Thanks!
