Question about GE 31GT720 31" TV

Looking for parts

The internal wiring to the connection module in my GE 31GT720 31" TV got twisted off. If anyone has a dead version of this TV and want to part it out, let me know and I will explain what I need and how to remove it.

This image is of a part (in two pieces) that I took out of my GE 31" TV (model 31GT720) . The left part is where the Ant/Cable connects to the back of the TV. The right part is like a capped single prong plug that connects to module on the TV circuit board. Please let me know If you have or can get this piece for me.

Sanyo 32 in tv on stanby.wont turn on

I have had many issues with the digital modules in Sanyo televisions. You do not indicate the Model #, I can be so much more helpful with this info.
This is the module where Cable plugs into or your hdmi cables connect to. Usually identifying the module involves looking at the part number on the tuner (where cable wire connects to) Look for 4-5 letters starting with N on the paper tag. Google the part number you find for potential resellers of this part.

WIRING CONNECTIONS FOR REP[LACEMENT PART DIFFER WITH NO MARKINGS

I looked that part up and it seems to be a simple 2 wire thermostat. The heat turns it off at a certain temp. So the wiring doesn't matter which color goes where. The internal contact are either on or off depending on the temp. Just make sure the wire plugs don't touch any other metal when installed.

I the manual wiring doesn't match what I have in the switch box. This switch is to operate 2 outside porch lights., previously wired to a single pole switch as follows.. one black wire to one screw and 2...

I test these timers.
GE 15071 timer has internal clock that runs on electricity. That's why timer has extra wire.
Intermatic, GE, Tork, Leviton, Sylvania, Woods, Utilitec etc in-wall timers each wire the same way.
The only tiny difference is GE doesn't have green ground wire.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-0192773.html

Here's what to do:
1) Old switch has two screws (excluding green ground screw)
One screw on old switch has 2 black wires >> these are hot wires > timer black wire connects to these hot wires. This will power the timer.
2) The other switch wire connects to timer red wire. This will send timer signal to lights.

3) Timer white wire is for the timer clock.
Timer white wire connects to other white wires that are twisted together and covered with wire nut >>> these are neutral wires, and now timer clock will operate
4) For EZ connection to other white wires, strip back another inch on timer white wire so stranded wire can wrap like a candy cane around solid copper wires. Then twist wire nut on very tight.

5) When wiring is complete, push door on timer for manual override. Lights should turn ON-OFF. If lights do not turn on, reverse timer red and timer black wires. Make sure outdoor bulbs are working.

15265 In-Wall Digital Timer - I am replacing an Aube with this new timer. Timer is to operate a wall plug (outdoor soffit). Timer is inside. The old switch had 3 wires - only two were connected (I think...

GE -15265 manual

Ah, the usual how to connect 4 wires to the old 'was-3-wire and now-2-wire' problem.

I tested and wired these timers.
Aube timer has internal rechargeable battery, and therefore does not need another wire to run internal clock.
GE timer has extra wire to run internal electronic clock, just like alarm clock is plugged in.

Heres what to do in simple format
1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire.
2) Old timer has 2 wires. Take both wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-red-wire. Choose either one for now.
3) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white to these wires. This action will complete circuit to internal clock.
4) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to bare ground. This works because bare ground and white neutral both connect to neutral busbar inside breaker box.
5) Turn on electricity, push in timer door for manual override. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-red and timer-black wires.
If light does not come on, double check that outdoor bulb is good, and that breaker not tripped.
Timer can also be reset in event of short. Reversing red and black wires will not short timer.

GE Profile Dishwasher PDW7300 Died on me!

Turns out the folks who installed it did a shoddy job of connecting the power. The power connections were not twisted on tightly enough, and after time, the continuous arcs of current between the loose connections burned through the wire nuts and finally separated the poorly twisted electrical wires. SOLUTION: Turned off power to the dishwasher, chopped off old, burned up wire ends, stripped some insulation off, twisted/spliced the electrical wires back toghether TIGHTLY and then tightly closed it all with quality wire-nuts. Power came right back on! :-) Yay! The only problem is, since the washer had been sitting/dead for a week or two, the lubricating water on the motor's ceramic bearing dried up, causing the motor to seize up. Had to replace the motor. :-( But everything is working fine now!

Convergence problem ,Help Please

Something is not right here. Is there any possibility that you can get the circuit designation (Rxxx) of the resistors that were "incorrect"? I am not aware of anything like this that can cause the "memory to be erased". The only memory in that area would be the factory convergence settings which can be modified from the service menu. Please try to supply the resistor IDs and I'll check on this.

Thanks,
Dan

Ge range

If the ceramic ring you're talking about is around the far outside of the element, then it being broken isn't a big deal (as long as pieces aren't missing). Its just an insulator.

If the knob is stripped, how are you turning the burner on? Are you sure the problem is the element and not the knob?

Either way, since your "friend" cut the wire, the element is not going to work properly. The crimp connections are designed to be removed and replaced, and the element is not going to come with any additional parts. Go to Radio Shack or an auto parts store and get a replacement crimp connector. You'll have to strip and recrimp a connector on the wire your friend cut. The wire may not be long enough now, though, so you'll have to twist the element while installing it so that the wire will reach. This should be fine as there's plenty of room to spin the element around.

Blew the Fuse in my GE PDW9880LSS Dishwasher

There is no in-line fuse in your dishwasher. If water has gotten into the junction box, (where the dishwasher and supply line are connected) it could have shorted at that point. Call a technician for service.
