Question about HP OfficeJet V40 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a 5 year old OfficeJet v40. I upgraded to XP and now I can't install the Director software from the CD. And the Scan function won't work. Is there a fix out there?
I have the same problem, of scanning with v40 , i dont hve the drivers and its no being dowmloaded from the internet, pls give the solution

You will have to install the correct driver for Windows XP.
You can download it from here.
The file size is ~34MB, so depending on your internet connection, it might take a moment.
It is also called "Basic" software and driver, so I can't promise for sure, that everything will be working as it did before.
This is (unfortunately) a common procedure to push the sale of the new hardware. Driver for Vista don't even exist...:-(
Nevertheless should you give it a try and see - maybe everything works fine.
