Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera

1 Answer

LifeCamVX3000:my contacts see a green stripe down my face.

We are able to see & hear each other, but they see this stripe down the middle of my face. I don't see the stripe when I look at my live picture in the small square at the bottom of the screen. We use Skype.

I just bought a new logitech C250 and i just did a test video chat through gmail and i could hear the sound from the other end but they could not hear me. vid is working fine

First, do have pink and green leads plugged in to the pink and green designated contacts? If so, go to installation where it lets you check the working of sound and voice recording. Make sure the mic is connected to pink (select it on the screen). Do a test. If the test does not record your voice, you don't have the right mic selected. I had this problem and didn't notice that Realtec was selected. IUse the drop down menus to select the right connection for your mic and earphones. If the drop down menu does not drop down, I'd uninstall all and start over. That's what I had to do. This is difficult to describe without being able to show you these screens.

I have a Logitech Webcam. When I am using the camera I sometimes have a yellow stripe down the middle. How do I stop this stripe appearing. Thanks Barbara

You cam might be broken, or if all else fails, try turning you cam off unplugging it, un installing it, and re installing it on to the computer. That might help.
