The most likely cause would be the lamp, you can pull it out and check. most of the time when the lamp blows the center of the lamp will shatter

Tv shuts off after 5 min or so temp light and lamp lights flash

My buddy had the same problem. You have to take and unplug your tv first of all. Take the back of the TV off carefully and use compressed air to clean out the back of the set. You more than likely have dust collecting and its causing it to think it is overheating. I am sure you can go to youtube and type in a similar tv and how to go about more thorough step by step.. Color Wheel. Look up your Model on this website
Encompass Parts Distribution they will list Part/number and their Prices. I found my lamp on Ebay for $85.00 and Ballast board for $65.00.
Also here on FixYa was a Post with Sevice Manual showing you how to Replace Color Wheel.

My Samsung Mode HLR4264W keeps shutting itself off.Any solutions?

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast.Your part # isBP96-00690A you can find it here: http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-BP96-00690A.aspx Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is BP9600826A You can find it here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-BP96-00826A-Lamp-Enclosure-p/samsung-bp96-00826a-lamp-enc.htm?Click=48173.Have a blessed one!

I have seen that sometimes the solder becomes loose on the input board. If you are under a warranty I would call and get someone to check it out.
