Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop
I recently purchased a used Casio QT-2100 POS system. I loaded the program and data through a CF card. Initially, the drawer would automatically open when Amount Tender or No Sale button was pushed. Now the drawer no longer responds to the system. I thought it was a problem with the drawer but I bought a new drawer and it still does not work.
When I initially setup the system, I had to cut off the plastic connector on the power cable coming from the terminal because the cable on the drawer did not have a plastic connector. The wires were then connected together using electrical tape. The system and drawer functioned fine for a short while during the setup but later stopped responding and has not worked since.
That logic board has a small fuse on it and when the wire are crossed it can and does blow. Many register dealers will call this a board repair. I have found that if that fuse is blown 90% the circut is fine and I just solder on a new fuse holder and insert a fuse. Its a small fuse I think its like a 2-3 amp fuse and the physical size is small as well. Its a buss fuse, you know the glass type. Most likely it will have to go to a dealer to get it fixed.

If you've let the drawer wires touch, then you may have blown the drawer kick circuit in the register. the only other thing I've had is when the drawer has been turned off for a particular (or all) clerk.
If you have not changed any programming just before it stopped working, then you will need to take it to a service centre to have the kick transistor etc checked.
