Hi,

I like to fix things as pet projects...speakers are uncharted territory for me, but my cousin has that speaker and it rocks! You can't find it anywhere...

How's $25 and I'll pay for shipping ?

Thanks for considering (fingers crossed)

Hi-
I am not sure I can answer your question but I hope I can shed some light on it as I am struggling with the same issue.
I have noticed the volume is very low and the sound quality sucks when I use the AUX input on the back of the unit. When I connect the same device to the 30 pin ipod dock it sounds great and is very loud.
I am thinking to try this "hack" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mkr5D3pW5Dg

Try another input and another source such as a DVD player. If you still get the buzzing sound, you could have a faulty power supply output or a fault in the audio circuit of the main board.

My Griffin Amplifi is not working, and I am trying to fix it, but i do not know where the screws are at to open it.

Pull off the knob, undo the bolt on the pot. Then remove the plastic cap which disseminates the blue glow. Next, slip your nails under the edge of the metal grille and slowly prize it off (don't worry, it's supposed to come off). Now there's 8 screws exposed. Undo those and she's all yours...

Griffin Amplifi 2.1 sound system. The sound coming out of the unit is VERY quiet and does not seem to increase when you turn up the volume with the nob or with the remote.

My amp goes into protection mode when i turn on my car. It gets hot too. I had 2 kicker 12" l5's and blew the subs with that amp, could i just have a simple problem with the amp? What are all my options?

Protection LED on, no output? Amplifi er is very hot = thermal protection is engaged. Test for proper
impedance at the speaker terminals with a VOM meter (see the diagrams in this manual for minimum
recommended impedance and multiple speaker wiring suggestions). Also check for adequate airfl ow around
the amplifi er. Amplifi er shuts down only while vehicle is running = voltage protection circuitry is engaged.
Voltage to the amplifi er is not within the 10–16 volt operating range. Have the vehicle’s charging and electrical
system inspected. Amplifi er will only play at low volume levels = short circuit protection is engaged. Check
for speaker wires shorted to each other or to the vehicle chassis. Check for damaged speakers or speaker(s)
operating below the minimum recommended impedance.
No or low output? Check the balance control on source unit Check the RCA (or speaker input) and
speaker output connections.

LOUD BUZZING/HUMMING SOUND- CAN HEAR OVER AUDIO

have someone check speaker ground to the TV chassis. Your speakers are picking up reverb from the Video Signal.

New Ipod Nano 4th Gen 16GB has went blank and will not turn on

HI there,

worst case scenario is that a circuit has broken inside. But your ipod will be under warrenty for a year from purchase.

Otherwise, leave the ipod to charge for a long time. Just leave it connected directly to the computer USB port despite not having any change in appearance. Also, don't connect it via a usb hub or through your keyboard. You will need to plug it into your computer directly.

You can also try entering DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

Then restore the ipod and update the firmware. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes installed. By checking through software update.

I hope this helps,

Nathan.

Speakers emitting a buzzing sound too frequently to ignore

There may be some sort of electrical device like a mobile phone or something that is near the base unit of the speakerset... try clearing the space around them.. or else it might be cuz of a loose connection... check n reseat all the cables & hopfully the problem will sort out...
