Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
SS GE Profile fridge - approx. 3/4 years old. Bottom mount freezer. The temperature is reading 46 degrees and rising, with a recommended 37 degrees. I can smell a hot/plastic smell and the side of the fridge is quite warm as well as the inside panel where the freezer door shuts. Any advise would be great. Thanks
Sounds like the condenser fan motor is either jammed or has failed. if you wil pull the refrig from the wall and remove the lower compartment cover you will see the fan I'm reffering to as well as the condenser coil and compressor. if the fan has failed you can put a house fan blowing into this compartment to keep the unit operational until you can get it repaired. thanks for using FixYa Peyton
