Re: screen turned red
There is three resistors on the crt board that is the board that plugs onto the back of the picture tube they are biger than the others one of them could of gone out of spec that will couse this kind of problem also three transistors on the same board that one could be bad need to check them out. If you do not know much about electronices I would probley take to a shop for repair . Would not want anyone to get hurt. Be sure to unplug tv before you do anything on the inside still even if unpluged could have high voltage in set.

try to watch a movie that doesnt contain snowing... If you mean white pixels for no reason on the screen while whatching the tv it can be caused by unstable power, or tv signal. try to remove tv cable, then replug it so the picture will clear

This could be the power brick overheating, next time this happens look at the light on the power brick, if its red thats your problem, clean any dust away from the vents and make sure that it has enough ventilation.
If this is not the case, I will need more info, any lights or fuzzy screen etc.
Remember thumbs up if this helps.
There are 2 fuses on the back panels inside check these first. Best to have tech do if you are not familiar with the PC boards. Should cost only 20 bucks or less for sevice call. Whatch what he does & ckecks as to not get ripped off.
Are your sparkles mainly red pixels flashing randomly over the TV screen, especially over darker areas? If so your sparkles are I believe a discharge problem, and can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, which I think resets and corrects the voltage and removes the sparkles, which is caused by misfiring of the gases produced with plasma TV's. I have had my TV repaired with a firmware upgrade, which takes only 10-15 minutes and is reasonably cheap repair, and now the TV looks great, no more sparkles. Don't play around with the voltages let the pros fix it, also beware! leave this too long and it can become permanent, and need a new screen which is half the price of the a new TV.
the E79 means : Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it.
According to tmbinc: E79 is the error code if xam.xex could not be started, i.e. probably a file system corruption.
I whish this solution will solve your problem.
