Question about RCA Lyra RD1072 MP3 Player
You may have accidentally turned on the 'hold' control. Verify that it is switched off. If so you may need to recharge or change the battery. If neither option is the solution; look for the Player's Reset button. It will be a very tiny hole on the back, side or bottom of the player(usually)near the USB port. Use a the end of a paper clip or other fine point object and press the button/hole. This will restore your player to factory default settings, without deleting your music.
If none of the above work; your last option will be to reformat the player. Refer to your owner's manual or read online at the RCA website.

Has it always done this since you've owned it or is it a recent out of the blue thing you experienced? Try to change the batteries or take them out and put them back in to see if that resets it. Also, try to delete some memory to see if that fixes the problem.
keep us posted on how things go for you. Also,s orry to hear it has taken so long for someone to get back to you.

Out dated anyway...replace; cost between $9.99 to $14.99 (512) or $14.99 to $24.99 (1gig) or higher. Walmart or other dept stores..even walgreen have them on sale. Most cheap units cannot be repaired or cost to much to do so. Please forgive me if you don't agree. This is not a reflection on your ability to purchase a higher cost MP3..just a cost saving solution.
