I have a pentax ist dl and a quantaray zoom....have had it for 3+ years. All of a sudden when the zoom is attached to the body of the pentax, AV is flashing in the "lcd" and it won't opperate. However if I take the zoom off and attach the standard issued lens that came with the camera, the camera works. What am I doing wrong?
I found on some lenses you need to go into the menu , select settings and change av appurature setting to 2 instead of 1 .
Also check that your diaphragm ring on the Zoom lens is set to the "A" position.
