Question about Pentax *ist DL Digital Camera
My sister in law bought my Pentax ist Dl from me and can't get the Quantaray zoom lens to work when it is attached to the body. The camera is flashing AV in the "lcd" area when I attach my Quantaray zoom lens to my Pentax ist DL. It doesn't want to take pictures/work. I have never had this problem when attaching the zoom before....which I had the lens for 3 years. The camera works just fine with the standard lens that came with it when it is attached. I don't know why it is doing this all of a sudden....am I missing something? I would help her but I am 2 states away from her & need to physically holding the camera to see what she might be doing wrong. Any pros out there that can help me out with this AV flashing????
I've got the same problem. The problem is that the lense is loosely attached to the body. What you need to do is that when you see the Av flashing, press the lense of the camera to the body and twist the lense to the left a bit. This tightens the connection. You can then take the photo.
