Question about Gateway MT3705 Notebook
Even after pushing eject button and Ctrl-J, going to Windows Media Player and pressing eject; error message shows 'stop processing using dvd-rw drive' there is nothing accessing this drive I cannot eject my cd out of the cd player on my laptop
There is a small hole, usually near the eject button. Unbend a paper clip and carefully push the paper clip into the hole, try to keep it straight. drive should pop right out.

Thank you for the advice about sticking a paperclip in the hole by the eject button. I was scared of being injuried. But it worked!!! I used the large paperclip and the CD popped out within seconds!

Hey, twiggyrat. Thank you very much for our solution. It worked well in my gateway laptop. Whew! I thought it would never come out. Thanks again.

Ctrl. J and eject worked great and I almost tore this thing apart prior trying to remove a stuck CD from my Dell laptop. Thanks!!!
