How do I adjust the scale of the screen I am looking at? Some how the scale has changed to double what it normaly is. Thanks

Right click the desktop and click on Properties. Display settings window appears. Click the settings Tab and the slider in the middle left is what controls the screen resolution settings. Moving to the left makes things bigger and to the right smaller and sharper. Play with the settings one by one till you get it the way you like it. :)

Cheers!

There is a blinking vertical line at the space where I am typing now. I made the mistake of moving a bar and now this bar is too wide. Please help me get back to where I can change the setting and make it...

Go to Control Panel
Accessibility Options
Screen (should be third tab)

Move Width bar towards "Thinner".

This works if you set the system cursor; your wordprocessing program might have another setting, usually under "Options", "Preferences" or "Setup".

Monitor

Hi,

It would seem that you do not have a computer problem but rather a monitor problem. If you monitor displays a single line from left to right, then chances are that the vertical IC is defective and would require replacement. In some instances, the IC may not be defective but would require reheating the solder joints. In some other instances it may be the vertical capacitor and/or some other associated components.

Since this would require opening the monitor, familiarity with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM and/or a soldering iron, then perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified monitor technician.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

good luck and kind regards.

Start menu problem

You should be able to drag your start menu around. Try right clicking on it and there should be a pop up menu, one of the choices should be lock task bar uncheck it then you should be able to move the bar back to your liking.
