Dor hinge repair

I fixed my Fagor disgwasher spring last night. The symptom was a bang and the door got heavy. Investigation revealed a broken cord. The parts are available at around 20 UK pounds per pair. They consist of a cord with plastic mouldings at each end. A heavy duty spring sits inside the washer parallel to the door bottom and is streched as the door is opened. I would not recommend buying the spares as getting them off the spring is almost impossible. I had a vice with tools and gave up. Instead I bought some similar cord (try a ships chandler/dinghy shop), one metre should do (99p). Remove the spring and cut the cord off at the moulding. Put the spring in a vice and drill out the cord. Start small (2mm) and work up. Put the new cord through the hole. Bend the spring and use a small screwdriver to fish out the cord. Tie a knot in it. Take a large flatblade screwdriver and open up the coils so the knot will pass through. Drill the other plastic moulding and repeat. The cord length between the mouldings was 280mm but measure the unbroken one. The dishwasher I had a cover clipped in place at the bottom of the door. Lever this forward and the spring is easy to remove.

Utilitech #73189 installation

Utilitec 73189 is ordinary 120Volt fluorescent light.
Where are you installing this light?
Are you wanting to hardwire this light so it connects directly to a switch?

Does the light have a plug-in cord?
Or do you want instructions how to wire a plug-in cord to the light? And then install small rotary line switch on the cord.

I would buy a cheap extension cord that already has ends. And buy rotary line switch that fits the cord.
Then cut off one end of extension cord so it will plug into outlet.
Install the line switch onto the cord.
Connect the cut-end of extension cord to light fixture, black-to-black white-to-white-green-to-green.

I cant get my printer to print i dont know if i installed it righ

Yes you are supposed to buy one. The printer makers don't give you the USB cable with the printer. In fact, the box usually tells you somewhere (in small print) that the cable's not included.

Power and speaker cables

Most electronic stores carry these, radio shack, circuit city, best buy. One thing, when buying the power wire, make sure the guage is right for the wattage.. to small of a wire may hinder the performance of the amp.

GE Microwave - Power Cord Appears to be Dead

Most microwave ovens are equipped with an internal fuse. This is typically located where the power cord enters the cabinet. The cabinet will have to be opened to verify the fuse.

The magnetron is not directly attached to the power source, it has to be stepped up in voltage significantly, either through a transformer or inverter.

It is usually best to have professional tech check the fuse for operation. Most shops will do this for a small fee if you drop the unit off yourself.

Microwave cord

The cord is easily replaced. If not sure to do it yourself, take it to a small appliance repair shop.

Need DC power cord, new battery and car adaptor

If anyone would know it would be the company who made it. Walmart buys from small electronics companies and puts it under the Durabrand name. Very Sneaky. The company that makes the DVD player is called Lenoxx. There website is www.lenoxx.com. Here is the rest of their contact info.
