Question about Kenwood Car Audio & Video
I bought a salvage Honda CRV 2004 and had it fixed nicely but I can not play the radio, the CD or the tape deck. The cassett will not stay in when I push it in. The CD goes in but will not play, The radio will not play. I get all kinds of errors.
I do not have an owner's manual. I have to order one. Is there a code that I need to know to fix the problem?
The procedure for mostly all Honda CRVs are the same as follows:
1) Turn off your radio with the ignition switch turned on.
2) Press #1 and #6 on your radio simultaneously. While holding these numbers pressed in, turn on the radio and watch the console on the radio. It will display two sets of numbers which will switch back and forth like U251 1 and L362 2. Take these numbers down and call any Honda dealer with them. With these numbers, any Honda dealer will be able to get you the code. If you are lucky they may not charge you but it will be worth a small fee.
The dealer will give you a number like 42351 or so. Turn your ignition off and enter these numbers - then turn your ignition back on and your radio should come on. Keep fiddling with this procedure until you hit it right.
