Question about HP PSC 1350 All-In-One Thermal Printer

Can't use HP Director on HP 1350 Printer

I have removed all the software with the exception of ( HP Image Zone Express, which will not remove itself ) with the remove function and reloaded with the supplied disk or from HP/support.com and the Director icon shows up on the desktop but it won't open up. Without the Director I don't know of anyway to scan and save to my computer. The printer had worked fine for 4 yrs and all of a sudden it had the Director problem.

Hi,
I just fixed this problem on my husbands PC. Just click this link & download & install this critical update. For some reason it didn't install when I updated but I found it and when I installed it the HP director started working great again. If this helps you plz rate this as 'fixya'. Hi Leslie, you will need to download the full software package, but before you do, unplug the USB cable that is connected between your printer and your computer then Go to this LINK for XP Home full software package to suit HP 1315, then

1. Click the Download only button.
2. When prompted, choose Open to start the download and run the software installer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the installation process.
4. Connect the USB cable between your HP all-in-one device and your PC when directed by on-screen instructions, and turn on your HP all-in-one device.
5. Wait for additional on-screen installation instructions before using the all-in-one.

How do i scan a picture to e-mail with HP 1350 all one


"Scan to email" feature is dependent upon the TWAIN and MAPI supported applications. TWAIN and MAPI (Message Application Programming Interface) are standards that relate to "Scanning" and "Scan to email" features respectively. Applications have to support these to make use of HP Director. Not all email accounts are MAPI supported applications. The following are the ones which satisfy the MAPI criteria.


Microsoft Outlook Express 6


Microsoft Outlook Express 5


Microsoft Outlook Express 4


Microsoft Outlook 2000


Microsoft Outlook 98


Microsoft Outlook 97


AOL E-mail Version 8


AOL E-mail Version 5


AOL E-mail Version 4



If you are not using any of the above email accounts, you need to configure your email account with Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express to use this feature. After configuring, you can use the scan to Email feature by perfroming the following steps.



1. Open HP Director/ HP Solution Center.


2. Click Settings -->> Scan Settings & Preferences --->> Scan to... Setup.


3. Select the available destinations and add them to the front panel destinations.


4. While scanning, you will receive a window showing the scan details which contains the section "Where do you want to scan?". Select "Email".

My scanner stopped working. hp solution center says that the device installation is not complete. i have a hp photosmart 3210 all in one. it was working the last time i used the scanner.


You probably need to uninstall and re-install the Latest Drivers for your printer

To uninstall you can do it from the Software disk you recieved with printer.
Insert the Disk in CD ROM and Click uninstall from HP Printer Menu

OR If you dont have the disk, you need to manually uninstall the Software
( Disconnect the USB cord before uninstalling )

Click START - Open Control panel - Add/remove Programs ( XP ) / Or Programs and FEatures ( Vista/Win 7 )
you will find list of HP Programs installed..

Choose one by one and uninstall these programs
1. HP Customer participation program
2. HP Imaging Device and software
3. Software and drivers for Photosmart 3200
4. HP Solution Center or HP Director
5. HP Image Zone ( or Image Zone Express / HP Photosmart Essential )
6. HP Update
7. HP Printer Drivers/Diagnostic Drivers
( after every Uninstall you will be prompted to restart the PC, you will find an option [ Click here to restart later ]. click on it and restart the PC once you completed uninstalling all the above programs )

Once you have uninstalled - click on this link to download the latest drivers by choosing your operating system

How can I uninstall HP Image express zone??

Just go to your Start click on it then you will see Settings from sittings go cross to you right you will see Control panel click on Control panel this will take you to the control panel click on Add or Remove Programs in there you will see your HP Image express click on Remove, that it hope it some help to you.

I am trying to install a new HP Printer C4345 and in order to do so I was advised I had to remove all of the HP 1500 elements. It will not remove HP Image Zone Express when I tell it to remove it. The...


That software doesn't necessarily have to be removed for the new printer to work, but it could cause some conflicts down the road. I would recommend that you completely uninstall the printer (Control Panel -> Printers) and that you remove the printer in the Device Manager if it is still there. Then follow the instructions and install the new printer.

Scanning does not work


After take a picture, take out your memory card of your digital camera and then Insert your memory card in your printer slot,

Then go to your pc and hit "My PC"
Look for "removable disk" and double click to open that folder,

find there pic that you want and save to your computer or attach to email.

You don't need and scanner to do that, except that you have photo's paper

The printer will not scann to the computer


Are you able to print? I suspect so. If not your probably looking at a bad cable or corrupt windows drivers.

The director software uses it's own system to talk to the printer via scan / fax though printing is controlled by windows itself. Since scan and fax are the same function to the printer, essentially i would start by re-installing the director software.

1. Remove it via add/remove programs, don't reinstall over. It may work but you'll likely just waste time, you want all it's files gone and replaced with new ones.

2. If that has no effect remove the printer from Control Panel > Printers. Also remove the scanner device from Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager >

3. Reboot, windows doesn't really remove things till you shut it off.

4. Install the director software again, hook up the printer when asked.

Again:

If you can print at all communciation with the device is perfectly fine from a hardware perspective.

If you can fax without the computer then your scanner and such is fine from a hardwware perspective.

So your problem is simple software, either windows devices install or hp director. Both simple to remove and re-input.
