Underneath the battery cover on the Wiimote there is a small red or black button, on the Wii console by the SD card slot there is a red button. Press theb utton on the Wii console and then the button on the controller and that will sync that controller to the Wii console.

We downloaded Mario Bros (original) on the Wii It takes the original Nintendo controller to operate, but how do we plug the original Nintendo controller into the Wii ???

Original controller as in the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controller? The NES controller is not officially supported on the Wii, however an adapter exists that goes into the GameCube controller ports which can be purchased at RetroPort. The other control methods the game supports are Wiimote (turned on it's side which acts just like a NES controller), GameCube controller, and the Classic Controller. Hope this helps!

Controller keeps blinking

Hello,

Your controller is blinking either because the batteries are low or it has lost sync to the Wii. Resync the controller or undo the clip on the back and replace the batteries. :)

My son was playing his wii and set down the controlers for about ten minutes came back to his game and its like it cant see the signal. I dont know what happened or how to fix it. I have tried unplugging...

Hi there,
Your Wii controller has a power saver function built into to turn off the controller and save battery life. If it's not recognizing the controller, try rebooting the Wii. If that doesn't work then your Wii controller needs to b re-synced.

If it's not powering up at all then the batteries need to be replaced.

Every time I try too add a player on just dance 2, nothing happens. The wii remote I'm trying to add just blinks. I tried new batteries and it works on all my other games. I have been trying to do this for...

In order to play with another controller you must sync the controller. The original Wii mote is already synced. To sync other one you must press the red button in the Front of the wii next to the sd card slot. Right after you do this you must press the small red button located on the back of the wii mote. To see it you must remove the battery cover.

Wii Controller doesn't work

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, t fix your problem make sure the controllers are on then hold the sync button on the console for approx 5 sec then let go and then hold the sync button on a controller for approx 5 sec., same goes for the other controller, press the console sync button first for every new controller added. I hope this helps you, if this doesnt work then thre is a issue with either the console sync system or the controller. Please remember feedback as I am new and trying to work my way to a higher rep. Thank You

The game controllers needed batteries. Once I replaced them they lost communication with the console. How do I get the communication between the console and the controllers working again?

would you happen to know what controller is the main controller? if so you should have the wii off, then take the controller and point it at the wii and press the power button in the top left corner(on remote) that should do the trick. If you do not know what one was the main one, try doing it with both.

Wii controllers wont work

Hi, i have just fixed the same problem with my controllers. You must re-sync the controllers. In order to do this, turn on wii, open back of first controller where batteries are and press red sync button, then open small compartment on wii beside where game goes in and press the red button, the first blue light should light up on your controller, repeat for other controllers, making sure to do this process for each controller seperately. Hope this helps!

Wii controllers

Sounds like the remotes aren't sync'd up with the Wii in a way to turn it on. I had a strange occurrence with ours where only 1 Wiimote (ha!) out of 4 would turn on the Wii with the power button. Try following the instructions to program the Wii to the Wiimotes again and see if that works. Also try holding the power button on the remotes a little bit longer.

I don't recall but you push the red button behind a hidden cover on the front of the Wii and then the button on the Wii controller behind the battery cover.

Need help programming wii console remote

take off the battery compartment for the Wii Remote, and you should see a small red sync button. While the Wii is on, open up the flap for the SD cards, and you should see a red sync button on the Nintendo Wii. While holding the red sync button for the Wii Remote, press and hold the red sync button on the Nintendo Wii. After a few seconds, put the battery cover back on, and test the Wii Remote. Have any questions, feel free to ask. Use the add more details part in your question to ask any more questions. Thank you and have a good day.
