UNABLE TO RETRIEVE CALLS ON HOLD

After programming a speed dial, and hitting a wrong button once, I can no longer retrieve a call placed on hold from another extension. The light does not flash for line 1 only if answered and placed on hold at another extension. I have a user's manual, but not installation manual.

In the back of the phone there's a PROGRAM/SET switch. Put it in program, press where line 1 is supposed to be, and dial 0 1 and STORE. Then, move the switch back to set.

Hello, i hope you[re doing great.  I had a problem with the auto dial button and a solution was to change from program to set.... in the rear part of the phone, where the phone cable plugs in, there is a little switch. Try changing its position, hope this works for you too...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When a call comes in and I transfer to my boss' extension, incoming calls do not come through, caller states phone keeps on ringing. Also on that same extension calls do not transfer to voice mail.

  • Begin the transfer. With the caller on the line, press the "Transfer" key. The caller will automatically be placed on hold and you will hear a dial tone.
  • Connect the caller to the other party. Dial the extension of the party you wish to reach. When you hear the extension ring or after you've announced the caller, complete the transfer by pressing "Transfer" a second time. If the person does not wish to receive the call, press "Release" to disconnect from the dialed extension. Press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator where the various lines are displayed to return to the caller.
  • Cancel an incomplete transfer. If you make an error when dialing and need to retrieve the caller, simply press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator.

  • Park an incoming call. Parking a call at a designated extension allows the recipient to answer the call from any phone in the facility. With the caller on the line, press the "Park" key twice. If your system designates a particular extension for parked calls, the caller will be held at that extension. Otherwise, the caller is held at your extension. To specify an extension for a parked call, press "Park," dial the desired extension and press "Park" a second time. Replace the handset.
  • Retrieve a parked call. On any system phone, press "Park" and dial the extension on which the call is parked. You will be connected to the caller.

Norstar M7324 not showing lines in use and unable to retrieve calls on hold

That might mean that the line(s) is(are) not programmed for that telephone. If you press feature * 0 then one of the line buttons, does it list as a line or blank?

We have comdial impact 8324 phones here. One of our employees no longer has a DSS button that transfers calls directly to someone's voicemail. How can we program that back in?

Try this:
Storing a DSS Number -
Only one DSS number may be stored at each programmable button location but you may store a feature code or autodial number on the second level for a button location that already has the DSS programmed.
To Store an Intercom Extension Number as a DSS Number :
  1. Press optionS
  2. Press NEXT four times
  3. Press DSS
  4. Press the programmable button
  5. Dial the extension number
  6. Repeat as many times as desired
  7. Press SPEAKER to end.
NOTE: Do not program interactive buttons. If this occurs, you can retrieve functions by pressing INTERCOM "**1" , the interactive button and dial 91, 92 or 93 (from left to right). Attempting to program these buttons can cause features to be unavailable.

Because auto hold is on, on hold music is not getting off

Wow, those are 2 questions not related to each other. When the phone is idle, press "1" on the keypad and the BGM (background music) will go off. ("1" toggles it on and off).

Now, personal speed dial number can be stored on the 12 Function keys on the right side of the phone by pressing PROGRAM the button, and dialing 9+ the number you want and STORE.

System speed dial numbers are entered from the phone connected to the first extension (usually 101) with the system programming code or also from the maintenance console on a TA-824 or TAW-848. The code is 001 after you're in programming.

Can't set up voicemail.

Click on Menu=>Messages, scroll down to Voicemail. Now push the Men button (TOP button above round dial, center). Scroll down to Voicemail Setup and hit select. Put your cellphone # in (you may need to include the 1 first). Now you can retrieve messages by holding down the #1 button or the CALL button from the message screen.
