Question about E-Machines M5305 Notebook

1 Answer

My HP ZD7260US 17" laptop has three problems.

1: My HP ZD7260US 17" laptop continuously shows the word VOLUME in green, large font at the bottom of the monitor and I am unable to remove it. The underlying desktop icons in this area blink constantly. How do I fix this?

2: The volume control bar in the lower right task bar area will not remain in position when moved. It slides back down all the way each time I move it up. How do I resolve this?

3: The letter "c" repeats itself frequently without keying it when typing and when holding down the backspace key. How can I eliminate this? Thanks for your support and help.

It sounds like the volume button on the keyboard may be stuck in the volume down position. Your "c" key may have similar issues. You may want to have a tech check the keyboard connections for those buttons and clean beneath them...

I want to change the size of letters on my computer...they are too large

Right Click on an open area on the desktop and click Properties. When the display properties window opens click the Appearance Tab and look down near the bottom left and change the font size to Normal.

You can also get to the Display by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Once the display opens click the Appearance tab then look at the bottom left you will see the Font Size drop down window. Change it to Normal.

No Audio Device

Check your BIOS settings. I had the same problem with a 8440P. It has been a real Odyssee to find the solution, but I turned out the integrated audio device was disabled in the BIOS.
