Question about Poulan Pro 22" Self Propelled High Wheel Mower

Open Question

Dog Chewed through the wires of my self propelled lawn mower

My dog chewed all the way through the casing and wires on my self propelled Poulon Pro lawn mower and I was wondering if I have to junk it or can something like that be replaced? Please help. That lawn mower was really expensive and my husband is ready to get rid of our dog. I hope someone out there can help me figure out if those wires can be replaced. Thanks!

Thank you Mr.FixIt. I appreciate your help. I don't know if this makes a difference but our mower is the Poulan Pro self propelled with electric key start. So the wires that our dog chewed up are the ones that connect to the key start. Can those be replaced? We are in the military and stationed overseas so we don't have a local hardware store to go to. Do you know of any websites that we can order the new wires from? Thanks!!

Our ariens st 824 le will not move it is self propelled.it got pushed around while in gear

Those have nylon gears in the transmission so what probably happened is you chewed the teeth of the gears. In most cases it is cheaper to push it then to replace the transmission

Furnice air blows, but my ac unit outside want cut on

if the inside unit is running but the outside unit isn't - I would check the fuses or breaker. I suspect you have a blown fuse or a tripped breaker.
What is also possible is that the 'low voltage' thermostat wire (coming from the thermostat inside the house) has been cut - possibly by a lawn mower or weed eater - or chewed into by a dog.
If this is the case - you easily splice (with all power off) the wires back together using the color of the individual wires.

Toro self propell is not working and making grinding sound

sounds like the gear case may be sticking or locked up. what you could be hearing is the plastic teeth inside the wheels getting chewed up. take the
cover off of the self propel assembly and try to clean it out. possibly grease it.

No spark

If the dog chewed up the coil wire you will need a new coil. How did the dog GET to the wiring? Did you let the dog live? The wires are color coded. Splice the wires color to color. Depending on how badly the dog tore up the wires, you may want to get a new, (or used) wiring harness and re-wire the bike following the pattern of the existing wiring.
