I see your question is labeled under Frigidaire refrigerator, FGHB2844LF, and you are having difficulty engaging the water filter. Based off that model you should be able to push on the face of the water filter and slide the old cartridge out. First, to install the new cartridge you would need to remove the caps off of it. Secondly, using the alignment guide slide the new filter into the housing until it stops against the snap-in connector. Thirdly, push firmly until you hear the click which indicates that your filter has been engaged. Lastly press a glass against the water dispenser to verify no leaks are present at the filter housing. Shut off water supply first. I believe you have to prep the filter in water prior to installing. Follow those instructions. When you take the filter off, simply be careful as you unscrew the holding mechanism and put the new one on just reverse of how you took off the old one.

Try this... unplug frig and take everything out, leave the doors open as well. let everything thaw out for at least 2 days. then plug in and see if water comes out. what we are trying to do is make sure that the water hasn't frozen inside the door. i seen this happen and it drove me crazy. try this because i want to save you money from guessing whats wrong and buying parts. if the water comes back on then let me know and i will find the kit you need to stop this problem

ok if the water still doen't come out then make sure you have enough water pressure going to the frig.

another problem could be a plugged water filter, you can try to put a new one (every 6 months recommend) to see if this corrects the problem

take off the connector at the water valve and see if there is any debris

if all fails the only thing left is the water valve itself
replace

did u just change a filter?..must bleed air out of system. if not then switch at door is sticking or valve at back at supply is sticking to bleed air just run water into large pitcher till all air is out.

try putting a small one way valve at the end of the line so it wont back up. or put more insulation around the hoses
